The Opportunity:
A highly respected, partner-led commercial law firm in Manchester is looking to expand its corporate team with the appointment of a Corporate Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level. This is an outstanding opportunity for a lawyer with 4+ years' post-qualified experience who is looking to handle quality transactional work in a dynamic, supportive, and well-established team.

The role offers excellent exposure to a wide variety of corporate matters and the chance to work closely with clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to high-growth companies, investors, and entrepreneurs across the region and beyond.

Role Overview:
You will take a lead role on a broad range of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, corporate restructuring, shareholder arrangements, and general corporate governance matters. This is a client-facing role with the opportunity to develop key relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a high-performing and well-connected team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and advising on a wide range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, investments, joint ventures, and reorganisations
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key corporate documentation including SPAs, shareholder agreements, and investment documents
• Working closely with clients, intermediaries, and colleagues across other departments to deliver seamless, commercially focused legal advice
• Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees within the team
• Playing an active role in business development and contributing to the strategic growth of the corporate offering

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with at least 4 years' PQE in corporate law
• Experience managing M&A and investment transactions, ideally with exposure to SME and owner-managed business work
• Strong technical and drafting skills with a clear commercial mindset
• Confident and credible in client-facing situations, with a track record of building trusted relationships
• A team player with a proactive approach and a genuine interest in helping clients grow and protect their businesses
• Ambitious, organised, and looking for a long-term career move with a clear path to progression
