Corporate and Commercial Solicitor – Huddersfield

An established and expanding Yorkshire law firm is looking to recruit a talented Corporate and Commercial Solicitor to join its growing team based in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor keen to develop their career and manage a varied caseload within a supportive and progressive firm.

You will handle a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, advising a wide range of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and start-ups across both local and national markets.

While the firm is ideally looking for a full-time Solicitor, part-time arrangements (minimum 30 hours per week over four or five days) will be considered for the right candidate. After an initial settling-in period, hybrid working is available.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Advising on share sales and asset sales
• Handling mergers and acquisitions
• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements and investment agreements
• Providing general commercial advice and drafting commercial contracts

You will also be involved in:

• Business development and client relationship management
• Contributing to the firm’s marketing and networking activities
• Enhancing both the firm's and your own professional reputation in the region

You will be a qualified Corporate and Commercial Solicitor with:

• Ideally 2–5 years PQE, although NQs with relevant experience gained during their training contract will be considered
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent drafting skills
• The ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A team-oriented and proactive approach
• Excellent organisational, written and IT skills
