Home Based | Greater London Client Base | £60,000 – £70,000

The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Corporate Financial Planner to join a well-established wealth management firm. This is a home-based role serving corporate clients across the Greater London area, with the support of a wider national team.

The firm offers a comprehensive financial planning service to private clients, businesses, and their owners. With a strong reputation built on tailored, client-focused advice, this is an excellent platform for an ambitious adviser looking to make a real impact in the corporate space.

The Role

As a Corporate Financial Planner, you will take ownership of a portfolio of corporate clients, providing expert advice across the full range of workplace and business financial planning disciplines. You will work closely with business owners, senior executives, and key decision-makers, helping them to navigate their obligations and maximise the value of their employee and business benefit strategies.

Core areas of focus include:

  • Profit extraction strategies and business exit planning
  • Business succession and ownership transition

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality, compliant financial planning service to new and existing corporate clients across Greater London.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with business owners and senior executives, understanding their financial goals, priorities, and constraints.
  • Prepare and present clear, well-structured financial plans and recommendations that meet the firm's advice standards.
  • Ensure clients meet their regulatory obligations as employers, identifying opportunities to add value through improved employee benefit provision.
  • Conduct regular reviews of corporate schemes and plans, keeping recommendations aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with accountants, tax advisers, and other professional connections to deliver joined-up client outcomes and generate new business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the corporate team, agreeing responsibilities, timelines, and project deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client records in line with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Operate within the regulatory frameworks set by the FCA and The Pensions Regulator at all times.
  • Agree personal performance targets and work proactively to achieve them.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum three years' recent experience advising corporate or business clients (within the last three years is essential).
  • Demonstrable track record in a financial advisory role with commercial or business clients.
  • Strong working knowledge of workplace pensions, group risk, and employee benefits.
  • Ability to interpret business accounts and apply insights to financial planning recommendations.
  • Experience preparing and delivering formal financial planning reports and presentations.
  • Full, clean driving licence required.

Skills & Competencies

  • A genuinely consultative approach — focused on understanding employer needs, regulatory responsibilities, and staff wellbeing.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage credibly with directors and senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled at translating complex financial concepts into clear, practical advice.
  • Knowledge of business succession, shareholder planning, key person planning, profit extraction, and exit strategies.
  • Confident presenting to groups and individuals at all levels of seniority.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and file management.
  • Ability to identify cross-referral opportunities to private client colleagues where appropriate.

Personal Attributes

  • High standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Respectful and inclusive in dealings with clients and colleagues.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a home-based working pattern effectively.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development and maintaining competence.

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days per year.
  • Employer pension contributions of 6%.
  • Life assurance at 4x salary from day one.
  • Private medical insurance (subject to successful completion of probationary period).
  • Participation in an Employee Benefit Trust, allocating a percentage of the B-share pool (at Board discretion, post-probation).
