Job Description - Corporate Fundraiser

Are you a relationship builder and networker looking to use your skills to make a big impact on the lives of babies and children with life- shortening and life-threatening conditions and their families?

Charity People are delighted to be partnering again with a leading baby hospice charity in their search for the next Corporate Fundraiser in their Middlesbrough hospice. This is a pivotal moment in the hospice's growth, and they are looking for someone who is naturally outgoing, personable and results-focused to support them to grow their corporate pipeline in order to continue their important work.

Salary: £28,500 - £30,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Location: Middlesbrough with ability to work from home one day a week after 6 months in the role

Benefits: 5% employer pension contribution, 27 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and closure between Christmas and New Year, free parking onsite, and professional L&D opportunities

As the only baby specific hospice charity in the UK, this charity is providing specialist palliative, respite and end of life care for children aged 0 to 5 with life limiting and life-threatening conditions. They offer a safe, nurturing and joyful environment where families can feel completely supported. With their dedicated nurses delivering 24-hour care, they work together to make every moment of childhood count.

About the role

As our Corporate Fundraiser, you'll support the delivery of their overall income generation strategy, by developing a portfolio of corporate supporters at this hospice to deliver long term sustainable income growth.

You'll do this through providing excellent stewardship to newly established corporate relationships and identifying opportunities to grow current partnerships. This role is all about opening doors and generating new opportunities for support. You'll support the delivery of events on behalf of the hospice for both existing and potential relationships, and you'll also represent the hospice in external networking events, delivering presentations, and clearly communicating the hospice's case for support.

About you

This role would suit a natural relationship builder and networking superstar.

You'll bring:

  • Experience working in fundraising, business development, sales or potentially recruitment or partnership management

  • Experience developing partnerships and engaging a wide range of supporters and stakeholders

  • Experience attending networking events, and the confidence to represent the charity externally

  • A naturally outgoing, personable and results-focused attitude to work

  • A passion for making a meaningful difference through your work

Most importantly, you'll be someone who combines ambition with compassion, and who is excited by the opportunity to help ensure the future of an organisation that means so much to the families it supports.

If you're someone who understands that every conversation can potentially lead somewhere and are motivated to make a real difference to children and families every single day, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply:

All you need to do is send a copy of your CV or draft profile over to Gabi Smith as the first step. From there, we'll be in touch with full application details if you meet our initial assessment of the skills and experience required.

Deadline: 9am on Monday 24th August

Interview: In person at the Middlesbrough hospice either week commencing 31st August or 7th September.

Please let us know if you have any issues with interview dates above as we understand that it's peak summer holiday time and we don't want this to impact your being able to apply.
