Job Description - Corporate Receptionist

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an individual to serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, customers and contractors, providing a welcoming and helpful experience to all visitors. A corporate receptionist enhances the work environment by offering convenience and support.

Concierge duties and responsibilities

  • Offering a warm and professional welcome to visitors and ensuring the entering of their details into the visitor record, conducting any security or identity checks, ensuring that visitors are welcome in the showroom by the appropriate individual or department in a timely fashion.
  • Providing a comfortable waiting area, offering hot and cold drinks to those arriving.
  • Ensure that the reception areas are kept to high standards of presentation and advising of any maintenance issues which may damage a visitor experience.
  • Maintenance of the visitor and meeting room diary ensuring that rooms are not double booked or used when not booked and that all IT, stationery and catering requirements have been assessed and fulfilled.
  • Organisation of meeting and training catering needs, assessing requirements and ensuring that the correct orders have been placed and that rooms are correctly set up.
  • Clearing down meeting space following events.
  • Monitoring and maintaining on site meeting catering stocks.
  • Providing valuable resource for training events including booking of hotel rooms, necessary transportation and catering off site.

Skills and competencies

  • Highly organised with an ability to remain calm and multitask.
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous hospitality experience may be an advantage.
