Job Description - Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Manchester
£40,000 - £45,000 (Hybrid working & excellent benefits)


We are working with a Top 10 UK accountancy firm expanding its national Corporate Tax team with the appointment of an Assistant Manager.


This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team supporting a broad client base across sectors including technology, manufacturing, leisure and tourism, retail, professional services, and construction.


Clients include a wide range of expanding companies from various industries, offering exposure to diverse business challenges and growth opportunities.


As an Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Be a key part of the client service team, maintaining regular dialogue with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Provide clear, technically accurate corporate tax advice on issues such as loss relief, interest tax relief, transfer pricing, R&D relief, capital allowances, group and shareholder reorganisations, international tax, and acquisitions/disposals
  • Continuously develop your skills and support junior team members through coaching and guidance

What you'll need:

  • ACA, ACCA and/or CTA (part) qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Experience in an accountancy practice with strong UK corporate tax knowledge
  • Proven client handling skills managing a busy portfolio
  • Experience with specialist tax software is a plus
