Corporate Tax Compliance Manager - Birmingham

A leading independent tax advisory firm is continuing its impressive growth journey and is now looking to strengthen its compliance offering with the appointment of a Corporate Tax Compliance Manager based in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist firm that blends technical excellence with a modern, people-first culture. With a strong presence across the UK and a well-established client portfolio spanning a wide range of sectors, this firm offers something genuinely different - high-quality work without the bureaucracy.

You'll be working within a respected Corporate Tax team delivering technically strong compliance and tax accounting solutions to clients ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to complex, multi-entity groups. The role includes ownership of client portfolios, hands-on delivery of compliance work, and the chance to support advisory projects where they link into the compliance stream.

You'll be given a high degree of autonomy while being supported by a highly experienced team. The firm is particularly interested in professionals who enjoy managing client relationships, developing junior team members, and contributing to the overall growth and direction of the practice.

This isn't a "tick box" compliance role - it's about shaping a service line with real influence and value, within a firm that respects your time, encourages work-life balance, and rewards success through a generous profit-share scheme.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Around 4+ years' experience in corporate tax compliance and tax accounting

  • Strong working knowledge of areas such as loss relief, exceptional items, interest restriction, and group relief

  • A CTA, ACA or ATT qualification (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience using Alphatax is helpful but not essential

  • A collaborative approach and interest in mentoring junior colleagues
