Are you an experienced corporate tax professional looking for a leadership role outside of the Big 4 hierarchy? NJR Recruitment is proud to be working with a thriving independent firm in Leeds, who are now seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to oversee a small, high-performing team and play a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and client success.

This is a rare opportunity for someone with Big 4 or Top 10 experience who wants to step into a role with real autonomy, client ownership, and no red tape.

The Opportunity:

You will take ownership of a varied corporate tax portfolio ranging from owner-managed businesses to UK subsidiaries of international groups, while managing a team of 3 and working closely with senior leadership on advisory work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all corporation tax compliance and planning across a portfolio of businesses
• Review and sign off CT600s, tax computations and capital allowance claims
• Provide advice on tax payments, restructuring, and technical tax matters
• Lead on advisory projects in collaboration with the Tax Director
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of 3 tax professionals
• Act as the main point of contact for clients on all corporate tax-related queries
• Liaise with external R&D tax specialists and internal teams as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified CTA / ACA / ACCA or qualified by experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate tax, with experience managing a client portfolio
• Background in a mid-tier, Top 10 or Big 4 firm desirable
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to advise clients directly
• Ambition to grow within a dynamic, independent environment
