Corporate Tax Manager

Corporation Tax Manager – £55,000 to £65,000 | Hybrid Working

Reed Practice is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking accountancy firm for the position of Corporation Tax Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified tax professional to join a dynamic team, take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, and benefit from a clear progression path to Senior Manager.

Reporting to a Senior Manager or Director, you will be responsible for the efficient delivery of corporation tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client base.

• Manage your own portfolio of clients, overseeing the full compliance process
• Review and sign off Corporation Tax computations and returns prepared by junior staff
• Prepare complex Corporation Tax computations using Alphatax
• Support audit processes and liaise with third-party auditors on tax disclosures
• Advise on technical areas including:
  
  • Capital allowances
  • R&D tax relief
  • Substantial Shareholdings Exemption
  • Controlled Foreign Companies
  • Corporate Interest Restriction
  • Withholding Tax and Double Taxation Relief
• Build strong internal and external relationships
• Identify opportunities for additional client services
• Manage workflow and mentor junior team members

• CTA and/or ACA (or equivalent) qualified
• Ideally 2+ years post-qualification experience (newly qualified managers also considered)
• Experience in a similar role within a busy, progressive firm
• Strong technical knowledge and familiarity with Alphatax (training available if needed)
• Proven ability to manage and develop junior staff
• Excellent organisational and client service skills

• Hybrid model:
  
  • During 3-month probation: 5 days in the office
  • Post-probation: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
• Flexible start times between 8:00am and 10:00am
