Are you an experienced Corporate Tax professional looking to broaden your advisory exposure and take the next step in your career?

Carrington Wood is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected professional services firm to recruit a Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant Manager for their growing Bristol office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within a corporate tax compliance role who is keen to develop their advisory experience across a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from owner-managed businesses through to large corporate groups. You'll gain exposure to specialist projects including share schemes, corporate transactions, complex tax advisory work and R&D tax relief, whilst working alongside an experienced and supportive tax team.

What You'll Be Doing

✔ Preparing corporation tax computations and returns for a varied client portfolio

✔ Supporting advisory assignments including capital allowances, R&D claims, corporate restructuring and tax due diligence projects

✔ Assisting with transaction-related tax work

✔ Conducting tax technical research and contributing to client projects

✔ Developing specialist knowledge across areas such as share schemes and innovation reliefs

✔ Supporting and mentoring junior team members

✔ Managing multiple assignments to agreed deadlines and budgets

✔ Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts

✔ Collaborating closely with audit and wider advisory teams

✔ Supporting business development and networking activities

What We're Looking For

💡 Previous experience within a Corporate Tax role

💡 ATT/CTA or ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience

💡 Strong technical corporate tax knowledge

💡 A desire to develop advisory expertise alongside compliance responsibilities

💡 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

💡 Strong organisational and time management abilities

💡 Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach

💡 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

💡 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

💡 Experience using Alphatax would be advantageous but is not essential
