We have several offices in Central and Southern England and have ambitious plans to expand our business. To support the organisation’s growth, we have created a new opportunity for a Corporate Tax Trainee to join our Basingstoke team. This position also includes a comprehensive induction and full funding to pursue professional qualifications. A permanent full-time role with flexible working options (flexing your hours on different days to suit your lifestyle).This is a trainee position which includes full training and support in order to develop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within our practice. Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing corporate tax returns and computations
Dealing with enquiries and post from H M Revenue & Customs
Contacting clients, colleagues and third parties to gather missing information
Drafting client letters and emails
Keeping clients up to date with progress and advising them of deadlines and payments due
Helping to identify tax planning opportunities
Working with Partners, the Tax Manager and wider team to assist in providing tax advice on a range of issues
Supporting the team as required
Full funding and support to study ATT/CTA qualifications, including study leave and time off for exams

There are two routes to enter our training programme.You may apply after A-Levels (A,B,B) or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively we welcome applications from university students who have achieved or are predicted a 2:1 or above. We also look for the following;
You must have GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 5 or above
Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and able to pick up new IT packages very quickly
Exceptional attention to detail
A positive, confident and proactive attitude
Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated
Willingness to undertake and succeed in a range of professional studies
Relevant work experience and/or experience would be great but not essential
