£50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

A fast-growing, global business in the shipping sector, supporting the movement of energy products across Europe, this organisation operates at the heart of energy markets with a real focus on commercial impact. This client is currently hiring for an Accountant to join their high-performing finance team.

Your new role

• Support month-end reporting including P&L, accruals, and reconciliations

• Manage fixed and variable costs and work closely with third parties

• Produce shipping P&L forecasts, weekly cashflow updates, and the annual budget

• Variance analysis

• Drive finance process improvements, including SAP and reporting interface upgrades

• Prepare and maintain clear documentation for AP/AR and settlement procedures

Requirements

• You will ideally be a newly qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) although finalist level candidates are also welcome to apply

• Good understanding of accounting controls and reporting processes with experience working in a similar role

• Strong Excel skills; SAP experience desirable

• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail

• Able to prioritise, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Clear communicator with a proactive and improvement-focused attitude
