An exciting opportunity to shape cost reporting in a newly established team. We’re recruiting for a Cost Financial Accountant to join a newly formed Financial Reporting Team. This is a unique chance to influence the structure and strategy of cost accounting within a forward-thinking organisation. You’ll work closely with senior finance stakeholders to drive improvements, deliver meaningful insights, and ensure robust financial governance across cost processes.

Skills/experience required:

• Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
• Hands-on experience with cost reporting, reconciliations, and balance sheet management
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Workday)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines

Main responsibilities:

• Manage cost accounting processes and prepare accurate month-end journals and reports
• Support timely delivery of cost-related outputs and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure financial compliance through effective monitoring and internal controls
• Provide cost analysis and insights to the Commercial Finance team
• Assist in ad hoc reporting tasks and strategic financial projects
• Drive improvements in cost reporting and system automation
