Costs Lawyer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Costs Lawyer/Law Costs Draftsperson to join a leading and highly regarded law firm based in Sheffield. As a Costs Lawyer/Law Costs Draftsperson you will be preparation and litigation of Bills of Costs, including advocacy and client engagement.

Job Title - Costs Lawyers/Law Costs Draftsperson

Location - Sheffield **Hybrid working available**

Salary - Competitive DOE

You will be required to have a minimum of 2 years experience in law costs.

Duties

• Preparation of Bills of Costs for Detailed and Provisional Assessment.
• Litigation of costs claims through the Court process, including potential advocacy (as required and agreed).
• Engaging directly with clients to provide advice, take instructions, and manage expectations throughout the case.
• Offering technical support and guidance to fee earners and other internal stakeholders.
• Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior team members.
• Maintaining accurate time recording and case management using in-house IT systems.
• Working flexibly to meet changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.
