Costs Solicitor – Manchester

Are you an experienced and technically skilled Solicitor with expertise in costs matters looking to progress within a leading defendant firm? If so, then this opportunity may be for you!

The Opportunity:

You will be working closely with directors and be the technical lead advising the department on specific technical matters such as retainers, fee arrangements, third-party costs and costs budgeting. You will also be dealing with a caseload of costs files in relation to personal injury and insurance claims.

Required Experience:

• Substantial experience of costs in the insurance sector including road traffic accidents, employment and public liability, industrial disease and clinical negligence is essential
• Demonstrated ability to advocate, draft, negotiate high value and complex matters as well as prepare costs budgets and budget discussion reports
• Significant understanding of fixed recoverable costs, retainers and fee arrangements
