St David Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading law firm in the recruitment of an experienced Costs Lawyer / Law Costs Draftsperson to join a well-established and highly regarded specialist Costs Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-value, complex cases. Join a collaborative team where you'll play a key role in managing the costs process from preparation through to negotiation, working on challenging and rewarding legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare Bills of Costs, primarily for personal injury matters, with exposure to commercial dispute cases where required
* Prepare Points of Dispute and Replies
* Draft Cost Budgets
* Negotiate costs settlements with opposing parties
* Participate in mediation and costs settlement discussions
* Support the wider legal teams with specialist costs advice
* Assist with detailed assessment and costs management matters where required
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
* Previous experience in a Costs Lawyer or Law Costs Draftsperson role
* Strong knowledge of legal costs procedures and practice
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong IT skills with the ability to work across multiple systems
