We’re looking for a Counter Fraud Investigator to join our small, collaborative Counter Fraud team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in counter fraud within the motor insurance sector.

Role Purpose
As a Counter Fraud Investigator, you will help to protect the business and our customers by identifying, investigating, and preventing fraud across our motor insurance portfolio. This includes reviewing referrals, applying the correct remedies in line with legislation, and working closely with brokers and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Review suspected fraud referrals using desktop tools and open‑source intelligence
Investigate policy misrepresentation and apply appropriate remedies
Identify fraud trends and emerging risks using internal MI
Manage calls and emails relating to suspect policies
Accurately record investigation activity and outcomes
Support fraud prevention initiatives and tool development
Carry out broker audits and respond to data requests in line with GDPR
Build strong working relationships with brokers, investigators, and other anti‑fraud partners
The ideal candidate will:
Have a naturally inquisitive and analytical mindset.
Have the confidence to question information and identify inconsistencies.
Be professional and discreet when handling confidential information
Show excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to manage workload and priorities effectively
Have a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience within the insurance industry, or relevant exposure to counter‑fraud activity within the financial services sector.
Be proactive and committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
