Counterbalance Forklift Operative

CNC Recruitment are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to work for our client in Wincanton - a well-respected food production company in the Southwest area. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move materials within the warehouse and onto trucks for distribution.

Location: Wincanton Area
Pay Rate: £12.73 - £18.50

Contract: Temp – Perm

Shifts: Rotational shifts (6am – 2pm, £12.73 per hour | 2pm – 10pm, £12.73 per hour | 10pm – 6am £18.50 per hour)

Duties
- Handle the loading and unloading of materials using a forklift
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to inspect and maintain equipment
- Perform basic maths calculations for inventory control
- Operate within a warehouse management system to track inventory movements
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks
- Conduct equipment repairs as necessary
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks when required

- Prior experience operating a forklift is essential

- In date FLT Licence - Essential
- Proficiency in materials handling and warehouse operations
- Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment inspection and maintenance
- Basic maths skills for inventory control purposes
- Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and warehouse management systems
