Court of Protection Paralegal

My client is one of the UK's leading law firms with a fantastic reputation in the market for their commercial and private client services, This is a brilliant opportunity for a Paralegal with court of protection experience to join a large, dedicated and hugely supportive team on a hybrid working basis based out of their Manchester office.

About the Role:

The Court of Protection team is responsible for managing the finances and affairs of individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves. You will act as the first point of contact for all queries, ensuring they are directed and escalated appropriately. You will liaise with the partners and solicitors within the team to provide timely advice and responses, often in sensitive and emotive circumstances.

???????This role is crucial in protecting and enhancing client care, ensuring you can effectively manage deputyship work and build and maintain relationships with families.

Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders (including case managers and fee earners) regarding care issues
- Take instructions from clients and assist with providing legal advice- Achieve time recording and fee income targets
- Attend and contribute to team meetings, ensuring team objectives are met

You:

You will be a well-motivated individual with a friendly, enthusiastic, and can-do approach.

Essential skills and experience include:
- Demonstrable interest in Court of Protection work.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Sensitivity and understanding of clients’ needs.
- Previous experience as a Court of Protection Paralegal or legal assistant
