Role: Court of Protection Solicitor
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £40k, commensurate to experience

A well-established Legal500 Law Firm with a prominent Regional presence, is looking to welcome an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor (or CILEX) into its Manchester office.

The firm is renowned for its legal expertise across Private Client services and has an exciting new opening for a skilled and passionate CoP Fee Earner to join its award winning team.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a diverse caseload of Property and Affairs matters on behalf of those seriously injured
• Collaborate with the wider team on complex, high-value CoP matters
• Conduct all aspects of case management, including application to the Court of Protection, financial abuse investigations, preparing instructions to Counsel as required etc
• Provide expert legal advice
• Liaise with relevant third parties
• Conduct legal administrative duties including case management, legal research, legal drafting etc

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor OR CILEX (England & Wales) – NQ-3PQE
• Strong experience within Court of Protection as a Fee Earner, with a strong understanding and knowledge of Mental Capacity Act
• Excellent communications and inter-personal skills
• Detail orientated with excellent analytical skills
• Full Driving Licence, with access to a car
