Copleston High School is seeking a highly organised, proactive and professional Cover Manager (non-teaching role) to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our school. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating people, systems and resources to support high-quality teaching and learning.
As Cover Manager, you will lead the management of staff absence and the deployment of cover across the school, ensuring that lessons are appropriately staffed and that disruption to students learning is minimised. Working closely with the Vice Principal, Senior Leadership Team, Heads of Department and support staff, you will oversee the cover team, coordinate daily cover arrangements, maintain accurate records and contribute to the efficient use of the school’s cover budget.
You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, able to respond calmly and effectively to changing priorities and unexpected situations. Experience of line management, administration and working with data management systems is essential, while experience within an educational setting would be advantageous.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the life of a busy secondary school. You will support and develop cover staff, help to improve systems and processes and work collaboratively with colleagues across the school to ensure operational excellence. If you are detail-oriented, confident working under pressure and committed to supporting a positive learning environment for students, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Join us and become part of a dedicated team committed to achieving the highest standards for our students and staff.
