About the Role
A well-regarded secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor to join their team from 22nd April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to support students in a classroom setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour and overseeing pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff. You don't need to be a qualified teacher - but experience working in a school or with young people is highly desirable. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers or individuals looking to gain more school-based experience in a secondary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during lesson time across a range of subjects.

• Ensure students remain on task with work that has been set by the absent teacher.

• Maintain a calm, focused and respectful classroom environment.

• Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.

• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate members of staff.

• Provide brief feedback on student conduct and lesson outcomes.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who:

• Has experience working in a school setting or with young people (preferred but not essential).

• Is confident managing behaviour and communicating effectively with students aged 11-18.

• Is adaptable, organised, and calm under pressure.

• Can follow instructions and uphold school policies consistently.

• Has a genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
