Cover Supervisor - Secondary School (Wellingborough Area)

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in the Wellingborough area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching, an experienced Cover Supervisor, or anyone with experience working with young people in an educational setting.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the classroom teacher.

Maintain a positive and focused learning environment.

Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

Support students in completing their work and encourage active engagement.

Report back to teaching staff on student progress and classroom activity.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

Have experience working with young people (in a school or similar setting).

Be confident managing classroom behaviour and engaging students.

Be flexible, reliable, and well-organised.

Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS check.

A degree or Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential.
