Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8:00am to 3:00pm

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in the Bury area. to support the continuity of learning within a secondary mainstream school.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a future in education in teaching, or for individuals with strong classroom or youth work experience who are looking for a rewarding role in education.

A Cover Supervisor’s Key Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across KS3 and KS4.
Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
Support students with learning where appropriate.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom activity.

What We’re Looking For:

Confidence in managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A flexible and proactive approach to supporting students.
Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
Able to commute to the Trafford area.
