This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain hands-on classroom experience. The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the class teacher. You will maintain a positive learning environment, ensure work is completed to a high standard and support pupils with staying focused and engaged. The school are looking for someone confident, proactive and able to build strong relationships with students.

Responsibilities

Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-prepared lesson plans
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting pupils to stay on task, motivated and engaged
Providing brief feedback to teaching staff after lessons
Promoting a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
Building rapport with pupils and contributing to the wider school communityAbout the school

Experience working with young people (essential)
Confident, calm and able to take control of a classroom
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting pupils
Understanding of safeguarding and school proceduresSafeguarding
