Cover Supervisor

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be:

* Supervising classes during the short‑term absence of teaching staff.

* Delivering pre‑prepared lesson plans and ensuring students remain engaged and on task.

* Managing classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.

* Supporting pupils in line with school policies and expectations.

* Working closely with teaching and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.

This position is long‑term, offering consistent work and the chance to build strong relationships with both staff and students.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom‑based role.

* Confidence managing groups of secondary‑aged students.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* A positive attitude and professional approach to working in education.

* Hold (or be willing to apply for) a valid DBS on the Update Service.
