Veritas Education are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work on an ad-hoc basis in secondary schools across Blackpool.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking for flexible work within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and complete the work provided.

The Role:

Delivering pre-set lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Ensuring students stay focused on the work set by the class teacher
Providing support and encouragement to pupils during lessons
Following school policies and procedures at all times
Working on a flexible basis to suit your availability

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be confident working with secondary-aged students
Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
Be adaptable, reliable and professional
Have experience working with young people in any capacity
Hold a degree or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
Have a genuine interest in education
