Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Gateshead and the surrounding areas. The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher. You will ensure students remain engaged with their learning while maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of curriculum subjects
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting engagement
Supporting students with their learning and responding to queries where appropriate
Ensuring a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and other school colleagues

Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or similar setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining professional boundaries
The ability to adapt quickly to different schools and classroom environments
