Aspire People are looking for a Cover Supervisor to work within a secondary school in Porth.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience working with children or young people who is confident managing a classroom and supporting pupils with their learning.

You do not need QTS to work as a Cover Supervisor. This role could suit graduates, Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, tutors or anyone with relevant experience working with young people who is looking to develop their experience in education.

📚 The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and activities
Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
Manage behaviour and maintain clear expectations
Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement
Follow school policies and procedures
Provide feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
🎓 We're Looking For
Experience working with children or young people is essential
Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills
Confident communication and organisation
Ability to work independently and follow lesson plans
A calm, patient and professional approach
Experience in a school or education setting is desirable
Graduates and those with relevant youth work, coaching, tutoring or childcare experience are welcome
EWC registration or willingness to obtain
Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
