A secondary school in Swindon is seeking a reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Teacher to join their team starting from 11th May. The successful candidate will supervise and deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the regular class teacher. Key Responsibilities

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers

             Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain on task

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement

Support students in their learning, responding to questions where appropriate

Uphold high expectations of conduct, uniform, and participation

Essential requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively

Flexibility and confidence to work across different subjects and year groups

A proactive and professional approach

Good organisational skills and reliability

             Experience working with young people in an educational setting

Degree-level qualification or equivalent
