Prospero Teaching is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Bolton, supporting students from KS3 to KS5.

The role

You'll step into the classroom during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned work and helping students stay focused and engaged.

We have opportunities ranging from day-to-day supply and individual lesson cover to longer-term placements, with some short-term bookings developing into extended assignments.

📍 Location: Schools across Bolton
💷 Pay: From £110 per day, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
📅 Start: September 2026
⏰ Hours: Typically 8:30am-3:30pm, although school hours may vary
📋 Contract: Temporary
🕐 Availability: Full-time, part-time, half-day and individual lesson opportunities

What we're looking for

You'll need to be confident managing classroom behaviour and comfortable working with secondary-aged students.

Ideally, you'll have:

Previous experience in a UK school, preferably around 6 months
Teaching or education-related qualifications, although these aren't essential
Recent safeguarding training, although training can be providedWhy work with Prospero Teaching?

What you'll need

To work through Prospero Teaching, you must:

Have the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional references covering the last two years
Provide an appropriate CV history
