Prospero Teaching are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in the Sheffield area. We have a high demand for both day-to-day supply staff and long-term cover supervisors, with immediate starts available.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced cover supervisors, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading classes during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout the lesson.

Responsibilities

Supervising classes across a range of secondary school subjects
Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students complete work set
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Creating a positive and productive learning environment
Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of lessons

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working with young people is desirable
Confident managing groups of students aged 11-16
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Adaptable, professional, and reliable
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to Work in the UK
