Veritas Education are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in Whitehaven from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, teaching assistants, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and complete the work provided.

The Role:

September 2026 start
Full-time and part-time opportunities available
Daily supply and long-term assignments
Deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects
Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
Support students in staying focused and on task

The Ideal Candidate:

Confident leading groups of young people
Experience working with children or young people is desirable
Strong communication and organisational skills
A positive, professional and adaptable approach
Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
