Cover Supervisor - Secondary Education - Merthyr Tydfil

As a Cover Supervisor in Merthyr Tydfil, you will play a crucial part in supporting students' learning and wellbeing. Your responsibilities will include supervising pupils in Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE students, ensuring a safe, engaging, and structured environment for learning. You will assist teachers with classroom management, behaviour support, and adapting to various subjects and age groups as needed. Promoting positive behaviour and pupils’ wellbeing will be central to your role, contributing to a nurturing and supportive school atmosphere.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children or in the care sector, paid or voluntary

* A genuine interest in working with children and young people

* Willingness to undertake training and development

* Proactive, patient, and understanding attitude

* Good understanding of special educational needs (SEN)

* Ability to provide a variety of support to pupils

* Effective team player
