We are currently partnering with a well-established secondary school in Essex to recruit a dedicated and adaptable Cover Teacher. This full-time, permanent position commences in September and presents a unique opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the school's educational mission.

The Role

As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning across various subjects and year groups in the absence of regular classroom teachers. This position requires flexibility, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students in a variety of learning activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and informative lessons based on provided lesson plans.


• Manage student behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.


• Supervise and support student learning, providing guidance and assistance as needed.


• Assess and record student progress, communicating relevant information to classroom teachers.


• Maintain accurate records of attendance and student work.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any subject or equivalent qualification.


• Prior experience in a teaching or classroom support role is desirable.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students of all ages and abilities.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.
