The Role

As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of regular teachers across various subject areas. This role requires a flexible and resourceful individual who can quickly adapt to different teaching styles and curriculum demands. You will also be expected to maintain a positive and productive learning environment, ensuring students remain engaged and on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging and informative lessons across a variety of subjects to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.


• Adapting to different teaching styles and curriculum requirements.


• Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment.


• Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behavior.


• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and support student learning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.


• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is preferred.


• Strong subject knowledge across a range of disciplines.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
