Altura Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Cover/Project Maintenance Technician to join their Facilities team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional to work in a varied, hands-on role, helping to maintain a high-quality environment for members, guests, and colleagues.

If you have strong maintenance experience, particularly in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems, and enjoy problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Cover/Project Maintenance Technician, you will:

* Cover the Duty Technician's holidays and sickness, often at short notice.

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the club.

* Specialise in the maintenance of HVAC systems and emergency lighting.

* Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.

* Support office and facility moves when required.

* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments across the club.

* Assist with maintaining accurate PPM records in line with current legislation.

* Order, monitor and manage maintenance materials and stock.

* Liaise with Front of House, Housekeeping, contractors and other departments.

* Monitor the work of on-site contractors where required.

* Act as a member of the Club Fire Warden Team.

* Attend relevant training and contribute to continuous improvement within the Facilities department.

What We're Looking For

Essential

* Proven experience in building maintenance.

* Strong HVAC maintenance experience.

* Electrical or plumbing knowledge and practical skills.

* Experience using a wide range of hand tools.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* A proactive approach with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable

* Experience within a hotel, leisure, hospitality or club environment.

* Experience working with third-party contractors.

* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

* Customer-facing experience.

* Military background or knowledge of the Armed Forces.
