Crane Operative / Machinist

My client in the LS11 area of Leeds are looking for an experienced Steel Material Handler / Crane Operative.

Role Purpose

To ensure the safe and efficient Stacking and unstacking of steel sections from the saw, maintaining a high standard of safety at all times. The individual will be responsible for handling materials, verifying documentation, and organising products in accordance with operational requirements. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety are essential, as the role involves regular manual handling and the operation of Over Head Cranes in a busy environment.

Role Responsibilities

Stacking steel from the saws into packages and distributing packages around the factory
Organizing Plates & fittings into packages and distributing them around the factory.
Responsible for selecting and arranging products to fulfil both internal and external orders.
Working to strict Health & Safety standards at all timesSkills, Experience and Qualifications
OHC experience is essential
