Creative Digital Designer/Front End Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Creative Digital Designer/Front End Web Developer to join Positively Distinctive Media. This role is pivotal in crafting interactive and functional digital experiences, including websites, system interfaces, and interactive games. You will collaborate closely with our back-end developers and design teams to deliver comprehensive digital solutions that not only look visually compelling but also operate seamlessly across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities
Design and develop visually appealing and functional web interfaces, interactive games, and digital marketing assets.
Work collaboratively with back-end developers using PHP, WordPress, and Laravel to ensure seamless functionality and integration.
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Develop and optimize front-end functionalities to ensure web applications are responsive and accessible across multiple browsers and devices.

Web Development and Design
Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks to build responsive, high-performing websites.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases with front-end architecture.
Regularly maintain and improve existing websites and applications.
Translate design concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.

Creative Design and Innovation
Design and produce digital marketing materials such as banners, emails, and other online media.
Stay updated with emerging web technologies and design trends to incorporate into projects.
Experiment with creative design layouts and new interaction concepts.

Project Management
Manage project timelines and coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of digital products.
Participate in design and tech project review sessions to provide insights and feedback.

Required Skills / Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in front-end web development, with strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience of using Figma/Sketch/Adobe CC or equivalent to create digital designs.
Proficiency with WordPress, Laravel, and other relevant development frameworks and technologies.
Experience in designing and developing responsive design websites.
Strong understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
