Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for more autonomy, recognition, and long-term development?

We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in West Brom that's ready to welcome a confident Credit Controller to its friendly and supportive finance team.

This is a role where you won't just follow a process - you'll improve it. You'll be trusted to take ownership of the company's sales ledger, build strong relationships across departments and with customers, and play a vital role in maintaining healthy cash flow.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Managing the entire credit control process, from setting up new customer accounts and establishing credit limits, to chasing overdue payments and resolving outstanding issues
• Posting and allocating incoming payments against customer accounts on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation
• Raising and issuing sales invoices and credit notes in accordance with company procedures and agreed customer terms
• Monitoring aged debtor reports, identifying risks, and prioritising follow-ups to reduce overdue debt
• Producing weekly and monthly debt reports, along with detailed debtor analysis to support the wider finance team and senior management
• Leading monthly credit review meetings, providing insight on debtor performance and contributing to credit risk strategy
• Liaising with internal teams such as Commercial, Sales, and Quality to resolve invoice queries and disputes efficiently
• Escalating problem accounts when necessary, while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach
• Supporting month-end routines, including reconciliations and assisting with audit queries
• Proactively suggesting and implementing improvements to enhance credit control processes and drive better results
