Your new role
As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance to join a dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly review the Aged Debt Report and ensure customers adhere to agreed trading terms.
• Contact customers via phone or email to follow up on outstanding payments.
• Work closely with the Finance Manager to take action on overdue accounts.
• Identify and resolve internal system issues that may delay payments.
• Liaise with the Sales Team to review and adjust customer credit limits.
• Maintain and update the customer database accurately.
• Prepare legal documentation for submission to solicitors and courts.
• Provide account reconciliations and financial reports as required.
• Process and reconcile credit card payments and bank transfers.
• Support the Purchase Ledger team when needed.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with a lively personality.
• High attention to detail and commitment to task completion.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP (desirable).
• Literate, numerate, and professional in attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
