Job Description - Credit Control Administrator

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm)

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Administrator to join our Credit Management Department. This role is crucial for assisting in processing credit notes, investigating customer queries, and supporting the management and team with various administrative tasks. If you have a knack for customer service and a keen eye for detail, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to enhance your skills in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Communicate with customers via telephone and email, providing quality customer service and answering enquiries.
  • Process new account openings and manage related procedures.
  • Investigate customer queries and log complaints.
  • Issue credit notes following investigations.
  • Supply copy credit notes, invoices, and statements via email or post.
  • Handle card payments and monitor transactions.
  • Manage the generic Credit Admin email box and ensure timely responses.
  • Mirror invoice and credit data onto third-party double-entry systems.
  • Reconcile ledger accounts with customers and third-party systems, ensuring all discrepancies are fully investigated and corrected.
  • Post and allocate all payments received with accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including health and safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in an accounts department is preferred but not essential.
  • Confident communication skills with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other in-house packages.
  • Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
