Credit Control Analyst

G MASS Consulting is a specialist Lloyd's and London Market consultancy. We are looking for a Credit Control Analyst to be deployed as a G MASS consultant into one of our London Market insurance clients, working embedded within their finance and credit control team.

You will be employed by G MASS and supported by us throughout the assignment, with ongoing oversight, development and access to insurance training and CII study support. This role suits someone with up to three years' experience in credit control, accounts receivable or insurance operations who wants to build a career in the London Market.

You will help make sure premium is collected on time, cash is allocated correctly and aged debt is actively managed, working closely with brokers, underwriters and the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring outstanding premium debt and producing aged debt reports for the finance team and underwriters.
• Chasing brokers for premium settlement in line with agreed terms of trade and premium payment clauses, escalating overdue items where needed.
• Allocating and matching cash receipts to the correct policies and transactions, and working down unallocated or suspense cash.
• Reconciling broker statements and account balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Tracking premium payment warranty and settlement due dates, and flagging potential breaches to underwriting teams in good time.
• Supporting month-end and quarter-end close with credit control reporting, KPIs and debt provisioning information.
• Handling credit control queries from internal teams and market counterparties clearly and professionally.
• Identifying recurring issues in the collections process and suggesting practical improvements.

• 1–3 years' experience in credit control, accounts receivable, cash allocation or a similar finance operations role.
• Insurance experience preferred, ideally within the Lloyd's or London Market (e.g. managing agent, syndicate, MGA or broker).
• Understanding of premium settlement, terms of trade or broker accounting is an advantage, though full training will be provided.
• Confident with Excel (lookups, pivot tables, basic reconciliation logic) and comfortable learning new finance and policy systems quickly.
• Methodical and detail-oriented, with pride in producing accurate work to fixed month-end deadlines.
• Clear, confident communicator, comfortable chasing external parties and building good working relationships.
• Degree educated or equivalent experience.

Permanent Contract

Salary: up to £40,000, depending on experience
