Credit Control - Permanent Position

Macildowie are working with this client based in Bugbrooke, Northampton on a permanent, full-time basis.

• Credit Controller
• Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)
• Employment type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
• Working arrangement: Fully office-based, with flexibility around start and finish times

About the client:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing business who are continuing to scale and, as such, is looking to add a confident and capable Credit Controller to their busy finance team.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the credit control function, ensuring outstanding customer debt is managed proactively and professionally. This role will suit someone confident speaking with customers over the phone, able to build strong working relationships while protecting cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and onboarding of new clients, including credit checks
• Regularly review customer accounts, recommending changes to credit limits where appropriate
• Issue accurate sales invoices and credit notes
• Chase outstanding debts via phone and email
• Send duplicate invoices and monthly statements to customers as required
• Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally
• Maintain and update customer ledgers
• Prepare monthly and quarterly rebate schedules for relevant customers
• Attend weekly debtor review meetings, providing input and updates

About You:

• Proven experience in a credit control role within a fast-paced environment
• Confident communicator, particularly over the phone, with a customer-first approach
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Experience using OrderWise or similar systems advantageous
