Credit Controller (12 month contract)

We are currently looking to appoint a Credit Controller on a fixed-term (12 month) basis. You will be responsible for the credit control function, making contact with customers on a regular basis to collect outstanding debts. You will also support the Finance Assistants as required, including the processing of purchase ledger invoices and assisting with queries. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Email and telephone contact with customers to chase outstanding debts


• Preparing and sending out statements regularly and copy invoices/credit notes as required


• Resolving unallocated cash posted on account, in conjunction with the Finance Assistants


• Handling debtors telephone and email queries


• Providing support to the Finance Assistants as required

You will be pro-active and enthusiastic with excellent verbal and written communication skills. As well as being highly organised and able to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines, we are looking for someone who has:

• Experience of working in the Finance function and ideally within a similar role


• Minimum GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English


• Proficient with using MS Office and Sage Intacct or similar accounting software


• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy


• A can-do attitude and real flexibility to change and adapt to the day-to-day requirements.

This role would be for 15 hours per week and the working pattern is negotiable. Some hybrid working can be agreed on an ad-hoc informal basis.
