Credit Controller - Wolverhampton
Up to £28,000 per annum | 5 days a week in the office

We're looking for a motivated and detail oriented Credit Controller to join a growing team in Wolverhampton. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a well established business. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and reducing outstanding debts, ensuring cash flow is maintained, and building strong relationships with customers.
This position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment where your efforts will make a real impact on the wider finance function. The ideal candidate will be proactive, well organised, and confident handling ledgers with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Managing customer accounts and reducing outstanding debts
• 
  Conducting regular credit checks and assessments
• 
  Liaising with customers to resolve overdue payments and disputes
• 
  Processing credit applications and setting up new accounts
• 
  Monitoring aged debt reports and taking appropriate action
• 
  Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the system
• 
  Working closely with the finance team to support month-end reporting
• 
  Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth credit processes

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

• 
  Previous experience in credit control or accounts receivable
• 
  Strong communication and negotiation skills
• 
  Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• 
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• 
  Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
