Credit Controller | £28,000 - £30,000 | Ware

I'm currently working with a highly regarded energy business based in Ware who are looking for an experienced Credit Controller.

The role offers the chance to be part of a business that’s genuinely making a difference – supporting customers in managing their energy accounts while promoting sustainability.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, predominantly domestic
• Chasing outstanding debt through calls and other communication methods
• Arranging payment plans and setting up Direct Debits
• Supporting customers in understanding and managing their energy usage and billing
• Liaising with internal teams to resolve account and billing issues

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in Credit Control is essential
• Experience within the utilities or energy industry is highly desirable
• Strong numeracy and communication skills
• Excellent Excel proficiency
• Adaptable, tenacious, and confident working independently or as part of a small team
• Customer service experience is a plus

The Details:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (1-hour lunch)
• Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 p.a.
• Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, WPA health insurance, pension
