Credit Controller - Newton Abbot - Full Time - Permanent - £26k - £30k per annum

Trial Balance Consulting are thrilled to be working with a thriving, family-owned commercial services business that’s on an exciting growth journey. They’re looking for a confident, motivated Credit Controller to join their close-knit finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Based at the company’s modern Newton Abbot headquarters, you’ll work directly with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, taking full ownership of aged debt management. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and thrives on building strong relationships while keeping the cash flow on track.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage aged debt in line with company credit policies

• Perform accurate and timely ledger postings

• Act as the first point of contact for sales ledger queries

• Maintain and review customer credit limits

• Liaise with internal departments and external clients to resolve account issues

• Recommend improvements for process efficiency

• Make informed decisions through investigation and evaluation

We’re looking for someone with previous credit control experience - ideally from a busy setting like retail, factory, or warehouse. You’ll need strong IT skills, a sharp eye for detail, and excellent communication abilities. The right person will be confident, empathetic, and ready to bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset to the role.
