Credit Controller

Simple Recruitment are looking for a Credit Controller for a permanent opportunity with our client in Midsomer Norton.

The Job:
The credit control role is crucial in managing the finances of the group and essential that issues/ warnings signs are flagged as soon as possible.

The duties will include but not limited to:

• Ensure timely receipt of payments from customers
• Pro-active management of debt
• Reconciliation of payments received
• Monitoring debtor balances against agreed payment terms
• Generation of customer statements
• Posting of journals as required
• Compliance with operating procedures
• Customer liaison by telephone and E-mail
• Liaison with internal stakeholders
• Financial appraisals of customers and review of credit limits as required
• Supporting the audit process as required

The Hours:
Part-time/ Full-time opportunity working 30 hours plus per week. This would ideally be across five days, Monday to Friday, but there is flexibility on hours and days for the right candidate.

About You:
The core skills to succeed in the role include:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Problem-solving
• Confidence with computer systems (ERP in-house system (Epicor), customer portals, Microsoft suite of products)
• Confidence
• Adaptability
• Excellent time management skills
• Collaborative working within the Credit Control team (and the wider Finance team) and partnering with the business to provide advice and guidance and instil best practice.
• Previous experience as a Credit Controller is essential
