Our client is a rapidly expanding and successful motor dealership group, operating across London and the Home Counties with 32 showrooms, across 7 brands, having a turnover in excess of £500M and over 700 staff, they now seek a Credit Controller to join a very busy finance team in their Head Office. Fantastic opportunity!

Reporting to the Sales Ledger Manager your duties will include:

The main duties:

• Chasing and pre-chasing all outstanding invoices
• Allocating bank receipts & credit notes promptly
• Debtor aged analysis
• Dealing with invoice queries via email and telephone
• Ensuring Supplier Invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.
• Liaise with departmental managers when credit limit increases are requested.
• Inter franchise receipt transfers (journals)
• Ensure month end deadlines are met.
• Run Experian Credit reports.
• Set up new credit accounts, once authorised by senior management.
• Update colleagues when payments appear on the bank account.
• Various other duties as required by the Credit Control Manager

The main requirements:

• Previous accounts experience is essential
• A proactive, self-starter
• Proficient in the use of Excel
• Strong team player
• Excellent communication skills, able to build good working relationships both internally and externally.
• Works well under pressure

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm
